Academic Transition Pathway

The Academic Transition Pathway is a two-week intensive programme designed to prepare learners for a reassessment of academic readiness.

The programme mirrors common UK higher education assessment structures. Listening, reading, and writing components are completed online, while speaking is delivered in-house where possible to allow for direct academic interaction and feedback.

Rather than teaching English as a subject, ATP focuses on academic task understanding, performance under assessment conditions, and confidence in academic communication. Learners work closely with tutors to address the specific gaps that led to their initial unsuccessful assessment.

At the end of the programme, learners are prepared to retake their entry assessment with a clearer understanding of expectations and stronger academic readiness.

Who Is This Programme For?

The Academic Transition Pathway is designed for:

  • FrameLearners seeking entry to UK higher education who have taken an academic entry assessment and narrowly missed the required standard
  • FrameInternational students adjusting to UK academic expectations and assessment formats
  • FrameApplicants who demonstrate academic potential but require targeted preparation before reassessment
  • FrameStudents who would benefit from short, intensive academic support rather than long-term study
  • FrameInstitutions or partners seeking a structured reassessment preparation route for near-entry candidates

This programme is not remedial and is not suitable for beginners. It is designed for learners who are close to readiness and motivated to progress quickly.
